Tempietto Homes is the ‘new homes’ initiative of Meridian Contracting Ltd.
For the past 35 years, Windsor Mallett, and Meridian Contracting Ltd. has been designing and building houses, renovations, adaptations, and additions. Tempietto Homes attempts to summarize their view of what is possible and helpful at this time in houses, based on that experience.
Windsor Mallett – Principal
Win Mallett graduated from Middlebury College in 1974. Upon graduation, he moved to the coast of North Carolina to build houses. It was then that he first became licensed as a builder. In 1977, he returned to New England to attend the Boston Architectural Center. He worked in several architectural offices until starting Meridian in 1986 as a design/build company. Since that point Meridian has had projects of their own design in continuous production.
David Grant – Operations Manager
Upon graduating in 1994 from Northeastern University's Art and Architecture
program, David was employed both as a sculptor and contractor's assistant,
working on numerous historical restoration projects around the Boston area.
In 2001, he helped found and operate the Zeitgeist Gallery in Cambridge,
renovating its Inman Square location. He has since continued to balance and
expand careers in both the arts and the trades.
Owen Thomas – Architectural Designer
Bachelor of Science in Architecture, The Catholic University of America –
LEED Green Associate
After growing up in New England, Owen moved to Washington D.C. where he received his education in architecture from The Catholic University of America. While in D.C. he worked for several design firms including Bowie Gridley Architects, and Alphatec PC. Owen moved back to New England in 2008 and has been participating in the design and construction of sustainable homes ever since.
Emily Condon – Interior Designer
Bachelor Arts in Art History, Colby College; Masters of Arts in Interior Design, New England School of Art and Design, Suffolk University.
Emily received her Masters of Arts in Interior Design with a focus on sustainable design, materials and finishes. While pursuing her Masters, Emily interned at Knoll, the internationally acclaimed design firm, and she also launched her own jewelry design business. Emily began her career as an event planner at Harvard Business School where she mastered the art of managing resources, people and multiple priorities.
Peg Mallett – Plantings and Sustainability
Peg is currently the manager of the vibrant and popular Wayland Farmers Market, a summer and winter venue that supports local agriculture and specialty food producers. Peg brings a unique talent to the Tempietto team with her training at the Radcliffe Landscape Design program and a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in Photography.
